One depicting Tsarina Empress Maria Feodorovna (1759-1828), after the painting by Lampi painted in 1797 (currently in Ludwigsburg Palace), showing her seated in white dress with lace sleeves, a miniature of Emperor Paul I suspended from a diamond necklace, wearing the red sash and breast star of the Imperial Russian Order of St. Catherine, holding a fan. It is very faintly signed “Lampi” in the right margin.


The other I’ve not identified - it’s signed ‘Cluny’ lower right and depicts a 16th/ 17th Century Queen, possibly Elizabeth I.


Both are in matching period, probably original, glazed gilt metal frames.
